Kathmandu City Tour is the best way to explore Kathmandu and its people and it also offers a brief introduction of history, culture, tradition and lifestyle of the ancient and medieval periods. Since this is a guided tour, you can explore the Kathmandu according to the destinations of your choice as well as our fixed itinerary with the help of our experienced tour guide. There are many day tours, day hikes and adventure tour in and around Kathmandu valley.

Kathmandu is the center of politics and culture of Nepal so, millions of people from all over the world have been visiting Kathmandu every year.  From a touristic point of view, Kathmandu is the most famous and popular tourist destination in Nepal. Hence, you need at least one week to explore Kathmandu city but if you have only a day here in Kathmandu to explore it then we are here to make your travel meaningful, joyful by every aspect.

After Kathmandu day tour, you can experience the daily life of people as well as visit temples, stupas, and durbars. You can visit at least four UNESCO world heritage sites (cultural) lies in Kathmandu valley in this tour. In total, there is seven UNESCO world heritage (cultural) site, here in Kathmandu valley.
They are:

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square

    Another name of Kathmandu Durbar Square is Basantapur Durbar Square. It is located at the heart of Kathmandu and also called that hard to miss and a must-see location for the tourists visiting Nepal.

  • Patan Durbar Square

    There are three Durbar Square in Kathmandu valley. Patan Durbar Square is one of them. Though it is the smallest of all three durbar squares often referred to as the most beautiful of all. It is located in Patan city of Lalitpur district.

  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square

    Bhaktapur Durbar Square lies in Bhaktapur district. The whole Durbar Square consists of Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatraya Square, and Pottery Square. The place occupied by all these four square is called Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

  • Swoyambhunath

    Swoyambhunath is one of the ancient stupas of Kathmandu valley. It lies on the top of the hill, at the center of Kathmandu. There are stairs up the hill and one of them is direct to the face of Lord Buddha. From the top of the hill, the beautiful view of the city is visible.

  • Pashupatinath

    Pashupatinath is the temple of Lord Shiva that is located on the bank of the Bagmati river, in the center of the place Deopatan. Many Hindus visit this temple every year. When Hindus have the last few weeks to live, they are brought here and cremated.

  • Boudhanath

    Boudhanath stupa is one of the tallest stupas in the world. About the architecture, there lies a giant dome on the ground and on the top of it is Lord Buddha. The stupa has a pair of eyes watching every direction which reflects the nature of Lord Buddha, meaning he is watching everyone.

  • Changunarayan Temple

    Changunarayan Temple is located in Bhaktapur district, around 22km away from Kathmandu. According to records, this is one of the oldest temples in Nepal. It has a history of 3000 years. It is double roofed and dedicated to God Vishnu in his incarnation as Narayan.

9:00am: Pickup and transfer from your hotel to the starting point of tour

  • Boudhanath Stupa: One of the world heritage site and the largest Stupa and holiest Stupa of among the Tibetan Buddhism.
  • Pashupatinath: The most sacred temple in Hinduism, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

1:00pm: Lunch

1:30pm: Tours continue and you will visit:

  • Patan Durbar Square: One of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley during Malla dynasty.
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square: One of the three Durbar Square in the Kathmandu Valley during Malla dynasty.

4 to 5pm: Tour ends and back to hotel. Rest relax in your hotel.

Rest relax in your hotel.
