Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC Trekking) is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. It is quite easy and shorter trek than other high altitude treks in Nepal. The trek is famous in the world as the legend of trekking and also classical trekking route. This trek incorporates diverse terrain, culture, and wildlife. Most importantly, the spectacular and close up view of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri mountains.

In Spring season, it showcases many beautiful flowers including the national flower of Nepal ­­­­– Rhododendron. Orchids, Machhapuchhre massif and the deepest gorge Kali Gandaki accompanies you during the trek. You will spot at times high cascading waterfalls. And, you will get to learn about people of different ethnicity, especially Gurung people when visiting the Ghandruk museum.

This Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC Trekking) actually starts from Nayapool and ends with beautiful memories in Nayapool in seven days. The trekking starts from Nayapul (New bridge) with the altitude of 1340m and the highest altitude of trekking is 4130m. The trek covers Ghandruk, Poonhill which is famous for sunrise trekking and stunning views of beautiful mountains. The beautiful mountains are Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, III and IV, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna and Manaslu ranges among others.

You will have the memory of trekking through the dense forest of the Rhododendron (National flower of Nepal), oak and other different kinds of flora and fauna with chirping sounds of various types of birds and other creature and of course the beautiful mountains. Moreover,  this route goes passing through spectacular landscapes, charming Gurung and Magar villages with bamboo and alpine forests to the trip’s last and final destination.


Day 01:        Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft). Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel (BB)
Day 02:        Kathmandu Valley sightseeing. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel (BB)
Day 03:        30 Minute flight to Pokhara (910m/2985ft) and One and half hour drive to Naya Pul. Trek to Tikhedhunga (1480m/4855ft) via Birethanti (1039m/3409ft). (B/L/D)
Day 04:        Trek to Ghorepani (2850m/9348ft) (B/L/D)
Day 05:        Early morning hike to Poon Hill and continue trek to Tadapani (2630m/9348ft) (B/L/D)
Day 06:        Continue trek to Chhomrong (2170m/7119ft) (B/L/D)
Day 07:        Continue trek to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) (B/L/D)
Day 08:        Continue trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13550ft) (B/L/D)
Day 09:        Trek back to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft) (B/L/D)

Day 01

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft). O/N in hotel (BB)

After arrival in Tribhuvan Int'l Airport (TIA), our representative will receive you and take you to your hotel. Throughout the day, you will have free time. The free time, you can utilize by exploring Thamel or you can have rest in the Hotel. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Elephant Tours. The dinner will be a typical Nepal dinner. Overnight in the Hotel (BB)

Day 02

Kathmandu Valley sightseeing. O/N in a Hotel (BB)

Our guide will receive you in your hotel with vehicle, after breakfast. Today, you will explore Kathmandu's four world heritage sights and famous temples. After the full day sightseeing tour, you will back to your hotel and prepare and check for gears and medicine. Our staff will also suggest you to make your upcoming trek safe.

Day 03

30 minutes flight to Pokhara (910m/2985ft), One and half hour drive to Naya Pul. Trek to Tikhedhunga (1480m/4855ft) via Birethanti (1039m/3409ft). (B/L/D)

After breakfast in the Hotel, you will take a 30 minutes flight to Pokhara. From the Pokhara airport you will arrive to Naya Pul after one and half hour driving . The Nayapul is the beginning point of your trek. After 4 to 5 hours trek through dense forest of rhododendron (National flower of Nepal), oak and other different kinds of flora and fauna with chirping sounds of various types of birds and other creature to arrive to Tikhedhunaga Overnight in a guest house at Tikhedhunga. Option: You can also take a private vehicle or tourist bus to arrive in Pokhara. You can enjoy scenic beauty along the road to Pokhara. And stay the night in Pokhara. Next morning after breakfast, you will be dropped by private vehicle to Naya Pul and start trek to Tikhedhunga.

Day 04

Trek to Ghorepani (2850m/9348ft) (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you can continue the trek towards Ghorepani, upwards through piece and beautiful jungle trail. Overnight in a guest house at Ghorepani.

Day 05

Early morning hike to Poon Hill and continue trek to Tadapani (2630m/8629ft) (B/L/D)

Early in the morning (around 4 am), you will hike to Poon Hill for the great Himalayan views as well as surnrise view. After the sunrise view trek to down to guesthouse for the breakfast and continue the trek towards Tadapani. Overnight in a guest house at Tadapani.

Day 06

Continue trek to Chhomrong (2170m/7119ft) (B/L/D)

After breakfast, departure from Guesthouse and continue the trek towards Chhomrong, the elevation of 2210m/ 7251ft and descend steeply down to the beautiful Kimron river (1800m/5905ft). Further trek will take you to the gateway to Annpurna Sanctury trek i.e. Chhomrong village. There, you can experience the culture and tradition of local Gurung ethnic tribe. Overnight in a guest house at Chhomrong.

Day 07

Continue trek to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) (B/L/D)

After breakfast, departure from Guesthouse and continue the trek towards Dovan through rocky trails leading alongside Chhomrong village. On this day, you will have a amazing view of Mt Annapurn III and the Mt. Machhapuchchhre . After 5 to 7 hours trek, you will arrive Dovan. Overnight in a Guesthouse at Dovan.

Day 08

Continue trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13550ft) (B/L/D)

Today, you will trek to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). This is your destination point, and today you are going to arrive there. Trekking through the beautiful alpine forest, accompanying with splendid views of stunning mountains, you will arrive there. You can explore the surroundings of Annapurna Base Camp, when you arrive there. From the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), you can enjoy the stunning views of Mt Hiunchuli (6441m/211312ft), Mt Machhapuchchhre (Fish Tail) (6997m/22956ft), Annapurna South (7229m/23717ft), Mt Gangapurna (7454m/24455ft), Annapurna III (7555m/24787ft), Annapurna I (8091m/26545ft). Overnight in a Guesthouse at Annapurna Base Camp (ABC).

Day 09

Trek back to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft). (B/L/D)

After morning breakfast in the guesthouse trek back down to Bamboo. Today, you need to trek 7-8 hours trekking to reach Bamboo. Enjoying mesmerizing sunrise views and exploring the magical Himalyas views and surrounding you will arrive to Bamboo. Overnight in a Guesthouse at Bamboo.

Day 10

Continue Trek back to Jhinu Danda (1780m/5840ft) (B/L/D)

Begin the trek through the beautiful forests with rhododendrons, oaks and bamboo plants after morning breakfast in the Guesthouse. From Bamboo to Kuldighar, it is an uphill trek followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola (river). After that, you will trek through stone staircase to Chhomrong. Then the trail, descends to Jhinu Danda. Today, you can have an opportunity to enjoy the hot spring which is lacated in just a 15 to 20 minutes walking distance from Jhinu Danda. It will soothe you aching body because of 8 days of trekking. Overnight in a Guesthouse at Jhinu Danda.

Day 11

Trek back to Naya Pul from Jhinu Danda and drive back to Pokhara. (BB)

After breakfast in the guest house, you will head towards Naya Pul. Enjoying the amazing hill and landscapes of western Nepal, you will arrive Naya Pul after 4-5 hours trek. Keeping all the experience in the memories of the trek, you will arrive in Pokhara from Naya Pul by private vehicle. Check in the hotel. Be freshen up and rest of the time is for your personal activities. Overnight in the Hotel in Pokhara. Option: If the construction of road from Naya Pul to Jhino Danda is completed, then driving from Jhinu Danda to Pokhara would be another option.

Day 12

Fly back to Kathmandu (BB)

After flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you will check in the hotel. Rest of the time is for your personal activities like: shopping or explore any new destinations in Kathmandu valley. In the evening, you will gather in an authentic Nepali cuisine restaurant to celebrate successful completion of the trekking. Overnight in a Hotel in Kathmandu

Day 13

Final Departure

At least this time, your journey to Nepal comes to an end. Our representative will drop you off at the Trivhuvan International Airport (TIA) approximately three hour before your scheduled flight. We hope that you will arrive to your destination with truly memorable experience with complete satisfaction.

Government license holder experienced, trekking guide (trained in Wilderness First Aid& altitude sickness) and porters (1 porter for between 2 trekkers basis) with their food, accommodation, salary, equipment, and accidental insurance, clothing, and medicine.
